| Our Wonderful Worship Team |
It is time, if you haven't already, to begin praying
about where to SERVE in 2012. Below is a Chart listing our teams - responsibilites - and current team leaders. They too are
praying about where they will serve next year! Even if you are already on a team, we would like you to prayerfully consider
your role for next year, and then once you know where, sign up at the welcome center for the team you want to serve with next
year.
We would love to have everyone on a team!
Living Team
Leader: Rick Beutel Focus: Worship
& Atmosphere
Goals:
1) Develop a sense of Ownership by each team member
2) Refresh and Reenergize our Atmosphere
3) Draw our Congregation into a more personal time of Worship
4) Become a Family within the Family
Issues to resolve...
1) Yearly Schedule for Meetings
2) New Ministry - Meet & Greet Visitors and first time guests by making sure they are welcomed and that they receive a
contact card every Sunday.
3) Showcase what is happening at de'View by having members share their testimonies either live or on video.
4) Continue improving ongoing Ministries: Specials, Dramas, and Testimonies, Drama Team, Children's Choir, Technology Team,
Atmosphere/Stage/Presentation
Minister's
Note: This team has been doing a great job. You have been setting the standard. Please continue to strive
for excellence and continue to push forward. Please do not settle for where we are. We must continue to move forward and upward.
Learning Team
Leader: Don Watts Focus: Education
& Discipleship
Goals:
1) Build Our Sunday School
2)
Build Our Youth Program
3) Promote a church-wide desire to learn
4) Promote Spiritual Growth in each individual Believer
Issues to resolve...
1)
Youth Volunteers... especially Wednesdays...
2) We are at the point that we could very quickly become much wider than we are deep, if we do not continue to grow spiritually!
Minister's Note: I am so excited about what
God is doing here. However, with this growth will continue to come some growing pains, and nowhere is it more evident than
here. We have more kiddos than we have trained help and adequate space at this point. We have a larger variety of ages for
Sunday School than we offer programs due to the inconsistency of attendance and other factors. Not to mention the commotion
and other issues that we could get into... so suffice to say... we have our work cut out for us. So where do we begin...
1) A full hour of Jr. Church
2) Breakfast for Sunday School
3) Recruit/Encourage/Empower
4) Re-energize Encounter
A. Adults
B. Teens
C. Elementary
Leaning Team
Leader: Doug Stephens Focus: Building
& Grounds
Goals:
1) Revitalize Team
2)
Clean & Refresh Building Each Week
3) Plan for Growth
4) Work to meet the needs of the other teams... (The building is a tool)
Issues
to resolve...
1) Leadership (Jack asked for a replacement due to health issues, therefore, Doug is taking over)
2) This team really needs to take ownership of the building and grounds and just go for it! Every Sunday - we want people
to pull into a NEW CAMPUS with a NEW HOME SMELL, and LOOK, and YET FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE LIVED HERE THEIR ENTIRE LIVES!
Minister's Note: "Ask every church
growth expert, and they will tell you the same thing. People start making their mind up about a church the moment they first
lay eyes on the property, before they ever pull into the parking lot or step foot outside of the car! It is imperative that
we do everything with excellence, and it takes a lot of work and people with energy and pride to make this happen. We need
you as a team to work together to make Fairview a place that people want to come. We need a plan for the present and the future
on how to make church and the property a more pleasant experience. SO PLEASE LET'S MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER... THIS MINISTRY
IS VITAL and WE NEED MORE INPUT AND INVOLVEMENT FROM THIS TEAM!
We have been
given a great buildig with lots of room for growth. Let's make plans for improvement while working with what we have!
Laughing Team
Leader: Marty Broady & Michael Wells Focus: Fellowship
& Atmosphere
Goals:
1) Rejuvenate the Excitement and the "WANT TO BE HERE" feeling
2) Monthly All - Church (family friendly) fellowships
3) Special Age Appropriate Fellowships that promote bonding among those of like ages and experiences.
4) One or Two BIG EXPERIENCE events for our kiddos to REMEMBER!
Issues to
resolve...
1)
A decision needs to be made about either manning the welcome center each week or we need to get rid of it.
2) A plan needs to begin to be developed to begin using our grounds for fellowship. We have LOTS of space that we should start
taking advantage of! (This will take some coordination with the Liquidate and Leaning Team)
Minister's Note: "People need to spend time together
to build relationships that move beyond the superficial. Trust provides the cornerstone for mutual accountability, transparent
honesty and loving confrontation. This is not built by gathering for one hour on Sunday to sing hymns and hear the spoken
message. It can only come through time as people learn to accept one another and value each other. To build this trust the
church needs to provide opportunities for people to interact with one another informally and share with one another thier
joy and sorrows, to help one another through assistance and care, to pray for another, through trials and difficulties. Potlucks,
dinners, and fun activities are more than just social events; they are avenues for building trust as members learn to appreciate
each other."

Church by Glenn Daman
Loving Team
Leader: Andy Watts Focus: Evangelism & Outreach
Goals: 1) Recommit to connecting
with visitors the same week they attend.
2) Track and follow-up "regular attendees"
3) Promote a church-wide attitude of evangelism
4) Meet the Needs of the Community LIKE NEVER BEFORE!
Issues to resolve...
1) Man/Womanpower... people willing to help with this ministry.
2) The Spirit is willing, but the "flesh has been weak" literally with this team!
Minister's Note: "Typically an unbeliever needs
to have more than five meaningful contacts with a number of Christians before he or she will begin to trust the message
of the Gospel. Consequently, the evangelism process involves the interplay between the individual Christian and the church
community. Developing a witnessing community necessarily utilizes both of these arms for effective evangelism. To build a
witnessing community, the church must become obsessed with evangelism; otherwise evangelism will remain a task rather than
become a mission. Being a witnessing community is not another program - IT IS CENTRAL TO EVERY MINISTRY OF THE CHURHC. Without
an evangelistic perspective, every ministry of the church will eventually collapse and become ineffective. The awareness of
the mission field around the church remains vital to the overall health and vitality of the congregation.
When the church no longer sees the lost, it stops functioning as a church."
From Shepherding the Small Church by Glenn
Daman
I am convinced the easiest and most effective way to encourage and empower
our people to evangelize is through their network of friends. WE HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF EXPLODING! DW
Liquidate Team
Leader: Kenny Brown Focus: Finance & Missions
Goals: 1) Reorganize This
Team
2)
Develop Accountability and Security System
3) Plan for growth while working to meet the needs of the other teams
4) Become Mission Minded
Issues to resolve...
1) The Finances need to become a Team Effort where the team is involved in the planning, the protecting, and preserving and
all other purposes of our finances!
2) Missions - Taking the Gospel to those that do not know - and have not heard needs to become central to what we do, not
an after-thought of what we do. We need to work to make our giving to our Missions more of a priority all while seeking to
help the congregation understand that everything we do is about accomplishing our MISSION STATEMENT - which is to LIFT UP
JESUS!
3) "Money should be locked up after collected and not left in the foyer." "Money should never be handled by
one person." These are two comments that were shared with me by concerned members. Not because of anything that has gone
wrong... but in an effort to protect those on this team and the church itself. Good thoughts, I thought :)
Minister's Note: This team has the toughest
job. The one that everyone criticizes, no one wants to do, and yet everybody thinks that should have a say in how it is handled.
It takes a special person to be on this team... Thanks for being special! You are appreciated!
